    ***Will train those with proven success selling commodities on multi year agreements.***


    Position Summary

    Responsible for all aspects of bulk gas sales to include liquid and tube trailer oxygen, nitrogen, argon, hydrogen, helium, liquid carbon dioxide, related distribution and application equipment. The position is also responsible for customer service, which includes maintaining current customers as well as developing new customers. This position reports to Region Bulk Gas Sales Manager.


    Position Accountabilities 

    1. Maintain high level of personal safety performance and regulatory compliance.
    2. Drive profitable growth of the territory business.
    3. Prospect for new business opportunities.
    4. Negotiate new account and existing account contract renewals.
    5. Manage existing business portfolio to maximize gross profit
    6. Provide first line product and application support to customers and prospects.
    7. Coordinate and manage communication and support between Customer and MTG.
    8. Report sales activity timely to sales management.
    9. Identify package gas opportunities and hand-off to package counterpart.
    10. Identify on site & pipeline opportunities and hand-off to On-Site Sales counterpart.
    11. Support collections process as required.
    12. Perform site surveys for new installations.
    13. Perform other projects and duties as assigned.

    • BS Engineering (Mechanical or Chemical) or Business Administration preferred, not required.
    • Conceptual understanding of industrial gas products. Production, distribution, equipment and applications.
    • 3-5 years previous gas sales experience prefered but not required.
    • If lieu of gas industry experience, 3 or more years successful sales expereince, ideally selling commodities on multi-year agreements.
    • Computer skills include MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Outlook.
