  • Overview


    • Own the process of preparing, analyzing, and delivering the S&OP deliverables for the Bulk business.
    • Be the S&OP subject matter expert and promote its benefits to the organization and users.
    • Responsible for executing the company’s strategic and tactical planning for all covered products.
    • Work transparently with Sales, Operations, Logistics, Transportation, and Accounting.
    • Manage and mitigate the risks associated with volatility of both Demand and Supply within network.
    • Lead calls with Regional Sales Managers and Logistics Managers to refine Demand forecasts.
    • Work with Sales to rationalize, and keep current the company’s Product Service Offering.
    • Continuously improve processes, ensuring relevance to each business partner, and drive value through insights and outputs.
    • Use and maintain the Demand Planning software as the primary long-range forecasting tool, generating 12-24 month forecasts for all products.
    • Load, execute, and analyze results of Supply LP network models.
    • Perform “What-If” analyses for risk management and investment opportunities.
    • Develop value-add, exception-based reporting that stimulates discussion and decision making.
    • Demonstrate a solid understanding of all data, and its relationship to the process.
    • Balance additional modeling complexity with business value.
    • Evaluate root causes of modeling outcomes.
    • Drive performance through critical-few metrics.
    • Hold individuals and groups accountable for data preparedness and accuracy.
    • Be primary point of contact with Information Technology Team for relevant data and tools.
    • Participate in and lead small improvement projects (SIP) and The Right Way (TRW) projects.
    • Other duties may be assigned.

    Work Environmental & Physical Demands:

    The characteristics described below are representative of those encountered while performing the essential functions of this position.

    • Job will be performed in an office environment.
    • Job will require extensive daily usage of a computer, and other office equipment.
    • Workload may require working on weekends and/or holidays.
    • Multi-day domestic travel may occur, and while rare, could involve weekends.


    In order to perform many of the job requirements, training will be ongoing in these areas:

    • Safety training (OSHA and general)
    • Industry technology
    • Demand Planning and Supply Planning software tools
    • Supply Chain Management, obtaining professional certification is encouraged
    • Cross-trained on other supply chain optimization processes, for back-fill
    • Six-Sigma training for Green Belt and Design for Six Sigma DFSS training


    Skills, Qualifications, and Special Requirements:

    • Safety and Quality focus
    • Must have demonstrated ability to Influence outside of own responsible area
    • Well organized and good follow-up skills
    • Ability to manage large volumes of data and analysis simultaneously
    • Proficiency in statistics, forecasting and forecasting methods
    • Ability to effectively communicate through verbal, written and interpersonal skills
    • Analytical and systematic problem solving and attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Power BI [or similar]


    • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering or Data Analytics. Equivalent experience from industry related Operations or Logistics may be considered.
    • Two to five years of direct S&OP process involvement in a similar supply chain.
