  • Overview

    Position Responsibilities

    • Practices safe work procedures, and follows all safety rules at all times
    • Manage POs and blanket POs from MRP planned order requirement and exception reports
    • Maintain MRP planning parameters for component inventory items to minimize cost and maximize service level
    • Negotiate and implement supply agreements with strategic supply partners
    • Identify and develop high performing strategic supply partners
    • Lead efforts to effectively develop tools to manage component inventory including minimizing excess and obsolete inventory
    • Work with suppliers to identify and document root cause and implement effective corrective action for supply chain related issues
    • Establish, implement, and maintain strategies that support company supplier performance, inventory turns, and cost goals
    • Maintain actual purchased price costs for component inventory items and roll actual costs to standard costs annually
    • Key contributor in the development and reporting of supply chain KPIs related to inventory, delivery, cost, and quality
    • Challenge the status quo to drive process improvements

    Required Skills:

    • Must be results driven and work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
    • Thorough knowledge of complete supply chain from MRP through shipment of finished goods
    • Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities for improvement, collect data, and leverage the data to implement sustainable change
    • Excellent interpersonal communication skills with ability to develop and sustain strong vendor relations and demonstrate commitment to internal customers
    • Proficient with MS Office products
    • Ability to read and understand manufacturing drawings
    • Ability to travel domestically <10% of time
    • Professionalism


    Education and/or Experience:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field preferred
    • Experience in manufacturing environment required
    • Experience with, or ability to readily learn, Epicor MRP Software
    • Experience in design/build manufacturing a plus
    • Lean Six Sigma certification/experience a plus
