  • Overview

     POSITION SUMMARY

    Responsible for performing all tasks related to the packaging, shipping and receiving of all UHP Equipment and Purification products and materials.

     

    Responsibilities

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

     

    Perform all shipping related tasks necessary to support the business group including but not limited to:

    • determine mode and carrier of shipments (unless customer specified) , utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes and rates
    • prepare and enclose all shipping related documents (packaging slips, bills of lading, commercial invoices, dangerous good declaration, etc.)
    • scheduling pick up of products with UPS, FedEx, DHL or designated carrier
    • labeling shipments to comply with DOT and IATA regulations, packaging of sensitive and fragile gas delivery and purification systems when necessary
    • providing and recording tracking information for products and raw materials
    • support document retention policies for products and raw materials
    • maintains inventory of all shipping materials and supplies 

    Perform all receiving related tasks necessary to support the business group including but not limited to:

    • examine all incoming packages for damages
    • receiving all purchase orders into the ERP system
    • verifying accuracy of incoming materials against packaging slip
    • stocking of packaging materials into stores 

    Support inventory control personnel with various stockroom and kitting duties

    Qualifications

    QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and / or ability required.      EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

    • High school diploma or GED
    • 2-5 years experience shipping dangerous goods domestic and international
    • Valid Colorado driver’s license
    • Forklift certification is required for occasional forklift operation
    • Hazardous Materials training
    • FedEx Ship Manager / UPS Worldship software
    • International shipping experience
    • Must be trained and certified to ship Dangerous Goods according to US DOT and IATA regulations 
    • Must have experience with UPS and FedEx Ship Manager online shipping software or services
    • Must have experience with ERP software shipping and receiving functions
    • Must have general knowledge and use of MS Office software
    • Ability to perform basic arithmetic
    • Ability to operate hand tools, mechanical equipment and lift loads up to 50 lbs.   
    • Ability to work alone and be self-directed and motivated
    • Ability to work under tight deadlines
    • Ability to assemble crates utilizing provided materials
