Provide quality pure gases on time to shipping using IPC scheduling format. This position reports directly to the branch manager.



Work design: Manages a unit or function that is part of a larger function. Follows established organizational policies. Develops procedures; recommends policies. Decisions involve translating the Division's goals and objectives into unit objectives, defined work assignments and projects; conducting and implementing actions; and short-term planning.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 

  1. Responsible for cleaning and preparation of pure, mixed, liquefied and purified gases using IPC production scheduling.
  2. Responsible for the process equipment, raw materials, labor required for production of these products.
  3. Responsible for the hiring, staffing and training of quality, safe personnel for production and cylinder cleaning/draining. Schedules work hours for all personnel in the Production functional group. Overtime to be approved by the Branch Manager.
  4. Responsible for the safe operation and shutdown of production and purification gas processes, cylinder cleaning and the chemical monitoring system in the Newark facility.
  5. Responsible for prevention of material spills through preventative maintenance, work instructions and training.
  6. Responsible for the evaluation, investigation, and corrective actions for equality and safety incidents/issues.


HOURS OF WORK: Typical hours for this position are going to match the requirements of the customer base Monday through Friday and possibly some Saturday hours if applicable. This is a full-time position.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:   Directly supervises the local site employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies, and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and / or ability required.   • Bachelor degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 5 years specific management experience in electronic and specialty gas or related field with a working knowledge of Six Sigma and lean manufacturing practices.
  • Federal, State, and local regulatory agencies ( EPA, OSHA, SARA, DOT )
  • Filling, testing, distribution of electronic and specialty gases, including pure gases, gas blends, hydrocarbon blends and reactive gas blends.
  • MTG tools, standards and specifications including quality (ISO), validation, MOC, CaWeb, six sigma, etc.
  • TIMS/CU order system.
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint and Outlook.
