Overview

POSITION SUMMARY

 

Provide support to both internal and external customers, as well as assist outside sales in quotation and order administration. Work Design: works under general supervision.  Resolves non-routine problems by applying general policies, practices, procedures and principles.  This person will work with the site manager to insure a high level of customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 

  1. Assist customers both in person, over the phone and on the computer, with the processing of orders and proposals.
  2. Follow up on leads, and assist in development of industrial, commercial and residential customer sales.
  3. Coordinate with manufacturing to determine delivery dates based on customer needs.
  4. Personally expedite “Rush” & “Hot” orders.
  5. Provide first line technical support.
  6. Order entry and invoicing.
  7. Learn product line and be able to explain product benefits and features to customers.
  8. To organize work, problem solve, and multi-task in a fast paced environment.
  9. Restocks store merchandise as needed. Arranges stock on shelves or racks in sales area and keeps merchandise in order. Marks or tickets merchandise.
  10. Assists with special sales and promotions.
  11. Assist in warehouse in shipping & receiving, inventory stocking, cleaning, labeling, inventory cycle counts or other tasks.
  12. Maintains showroom cleanliness by procedures set forth by management.
  13. Ensure all safety rules are strictly observed.
  14. Establish personal relationships with customers and end users.
  15. Provide supervisory and team leadership on an occasional basis when site management is absent.
  16. Perform other projects and duties as assigned.

 

 

 

Qualifications

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 

  • Ability to use personal computer (email, word & excel) to input data and process information and to master job specific software (mainframe computer).
  • High School Graduate with diploma and/or prior experience in outbound calling/inside sales, outside sales or marketing desirable.
  • Excellent customer service skills. Ability to establish and manage customer relationships
  • Ability to work independently, and as a team, under some pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrates a clear and effective speaking manner for the purpose of explaining information to customers and employees.
  • Market and product knowledge.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to learn MTG’s business/product types/organization/transaction systems
  • Interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Excellent Telephone Communications Skills
  • Excellent Organizational Skills
  • Ability to work safely and comply with all safety rules and standards.
