Mechanical Technician
This position is part of the ASU Construction group, responsible for the installation, alignment, testing and maintenance of future plant equipment. Additional requirements include, but not limited to, learning the plant mechanical systems, specific equipment design and determining spare parts and lubrication needs. Responsibilities will include assisting with construction, commissioning activities, and bringing the plant on stream safely. Interaction with the operators, maintenance, process engineering, and controls team will be required. This position will be required to provide on-going support, maintenance and troubleshooting for the compressors, expanders, pumps, mechanical seals, vessels, heat exchangers, gear drives, and other rotating equipment in the ASU as required.

QUALIFICATIONS: • Requires 5 years mechanical maintenance experience in a bulk chemical manufacturing facility. • HS diploma/equivalency required. • Trade/Technical degree or apprenticeship in a related field • Strong machinery and rotating equipment knowledge is a plus • Detail oriented and willing to document details appropriately. • Strong personal safety philosophy • Must be team oriented and have a willingness to learn and further develop technical skills in this position. This position provides necessary technical and hands-on support to maintain, troubleshoot and continuously improve plant mechanical equipment integrity, reliability, cost and on stream factor.
